If I have ordered MI Third Party Report Ordering, why haven't I received it yet?
FSC Insurance Solutions is working with carriers so that you have the ability to order reports, which will integrate back into the MI-Rater, thus eliminating manual entry. As we continue to release new carriers and products, you will be notified via email. Currently, if there are no carriers available, you will be able to access CPLink® directly from the rater and incorporate the report information back into the rater to be used when quoting.
What can I do to help my agency speed up the process in getting MI Third Party Report Ordering?
You should verify that your agency name, address, phone number and email address are all current with FSC and ChoicePoint®. This will allow FSC to deliver carriers and products to your agency more efficiently.
What can I do to get my carriers available with MI Third Party Report Ordering?
Contact your carriers and let them know you need this in order to continue to be an independent agent. Also let them know this allows you to be more efficient which results in increased agent and carrier profitability. Carriers should email sales@mi-assistant.com for further information.
Why can't I order Credit, MVR & Claims for all of my carriers?
Carriers have the option to sign on for Credit, MVR & Claims/Loss History with FSC Insurance Solutions. Some carriers sign on for credit first to see if their agents like the option to order directly from the rater.
What happens when I click the Order Reports button on the Reports screen?
When you click Order Reports you will be accessing MI Third Party Report Ordering Module where reports are ordered for each carrier you select. Once the information is returned, the insurance score data is integrated into the rater. This means it will automatically use the insurance score data when quoting which eliminates manual entry when verifying answers. For MVR information, you will need to click Overwrite with MVR to populate the information into the violation grid. Auto Claims/Loss History information needs to be manually entered into the violation grid to be used when quoting. FSC Insurance Solutions recommends that you always verify the data returned in the reports versus what is being populated into the grids on the violation screen.
What happens when I click Overwrite with MVR?
The information that is listed on the MVR report will populate into the grid and overwrite the current information listed in the violations grid. FSC Insurance Solutions recommends that you always verify the data returned in the reports versus what is being populated into the grids on the violation screen. Question marks in the BI & PD Amt fields need to be replaced with information from the MVR. If not, the information will default to the presets, which are Y for BI and $5000 for PD.
Does the Auto Claims/Loss History information integrate into the rater?
No, the Auto Claims/Loss History information is returned into the new Auto Claims/Loss History Tab in the rater if you order via MI Third Party Report Ordering; however, it is not populated into the violation grid automatically. You will need to review the report and manually enter in any additional accidents and/or claims information into the violations grid.
When I order reports after quoting, will I need to re-rate?
If you have quoted then order reports, you will be reverted to the Reports tab to verify and populate the MVR and Auto Claims/Loss History information into the grid prior to re-rating. FSC Insurance Solutions recommends that you always verify the data returned in the reports and use Verify Answers when re-rating.
Where can I print the Credit, MVR and Auto Claims/Loss History reports?
You have the ability to print the reports from the quote page after quoting via Print links at the bottom of the page or from the View menu option on the top toolbar.
What happens when I click Open ChoicePoint Link on the Reports tab?
When you click Open ChoicePoint Link®, you will be accessing ChoicePoint's CPLink® system to order reports for carriers and products currently not available with MI Third Party Report Ordering. Once the reports have been ordered, you have the option to copy and paste the information into the ChoicePoint Link® Results tab. This information is not automatically integrated in the rating program. Once the information is pasted into the tab, the information will be saved with the quote.
